Beginner-intermediate.

Whether you already take lessons with us, or are complete beginners, we welcome you to try this fun 3 day half day camp! This camp will be jam packed with fun horse activities, riding and a fun show on the last day that parents/family members and friends are welcome to come watch and see the fun new skills we’ve learned all in a fun and safe environment.

Youth Half Day Camp tentative schedule, weather permitting.

HR1: Introduction to instructors, introduction to horse/pony, learn to groom, tack up, learn about safety around the horses and rules in the barn and in the arena. Learn how to lead the horse and head into the arena.

HR2: Brief discussion about the importance of ground work,  safely handling and riding in he arena, equine behavior, body language. Riding, game or skill of the day among many other things!

HR3: Untack, groom, pain the pony/horse, discuss the different body parts of the horse/pony, Q&A about the day, clean up and put away.

HR4: Break for lunch, more Q&A, trivia or game/discussion along with arts and crafts.

This is just a sneak peak of what the day could look like, it will vary from day to day with what we learn, but this is a great opportunity for kids ages 7+

Days will vary as we progress.

*Final Day will be a horse show!**

Cost: $300 per person

A model horse hand painted to look like their camp horse/pony is also available for an additional $30 and will need to be purchased when you sign up for camp. These are high quality heavy duty PLAYABLE models.

Minimum sign up per camp: 5

Maximum sign up: 8

If camp is cancelled by DCH you will be refunded the deposit or have the option of putting the deposit towards private/group lessons.
