We'll have some fun in the snow and learn about horsemanship, horse care, riding (as much as we can weather permitting) We will jam pack this camp with as much fun horse activities as we can!

About the event

Join us spring break 3 day horsemanship camp!This camp will run for 3 days starting March 21st, 22nd and 23rd, it will be every day at 9 AM and will last till 2 PM. Campers are expected to provide their own lunch/meal/drink. Cold meals only.

We will not be doing our normal "Horse Show" on the last day of camp, due to weather conditions/cold.

Things that will be discussed and worked on in camp: What goes into feeding your horse/pony. What goes into taking care of a stable and all the chores and cleaning that needs to be done (Kids will help clean stalls). Barn and horse safety rules. How to groom their assigned horse/pony along with tacking it up in preparation for riding. How to lead and control the horse on the ground, along with some basic ground work. How to read a horses body language. Different horse gaits. Basic horse riding (How to turn, stop, back, go etc) Herd dynamics Horse related arts and crafts, and fun games!

This is open to non students and current students, ADVANCED STUDENTS ARE WELCOME, WE WILL BE WORK ON SPECIFIC THINGS FOR THAT STUDENT.

Early drop off and late pickup is available for an additional cost.

Camps are wonderful for children to learn life long skills and make friendships that'll last a lifetime!

Cost:

$300 Per person 

Non refundable deposit of $150 due at time of booking to hold your spot. This is ONLY refundable IF camp is cancelled by DCH.

Your spot is not reserved until you have contacted me and put in your deposit! deposits can me made via credit card (phone) paypal, venmo, cash or check.  Dress according to the weather, layers, snow pants, hats mittens etc. Helmets will need to be warn, an FEI approved riding helmet is required, if you need to borrow one please let us know, we have a VERY select number of sizes available.
